OpsCare® provides you with full around the clock monitoring and support for your Ruby on Rails application. Our team is located in three time-zones around the world providing complete follow-the-sun support to make sure your application is always available
Sleep well! We wear the pagers so you don’t have to!
We combine CloudWatch and our own custom monitoring tools to ensure your application is online and doing what you expect it to do and VictorOps to wake us up if it goes wrong. We set this up for you and wear the pager so that you don't get woken up at 2am if your site goes down. Sleep well :)
Build Features not Deployment Tools
The success of your business depends on the features you make and deploy to your customers. It is critical that your site is up and available, but your attention should be on new features. reinteractive’s OpsCare takes responsibility for keeping your application online 24x7 so you don't have to spend time and resources on this.
reinteractive's OpsCare is built from the ground up to handle simple, painless scaling. We don't run your app on massive servers to be prepared for demand. We use the least amount of compute you need for a reliable service and allow you to scale up within minutes of needing it. Does your application load increase at breakfast, lunch and dinner? Use our scheduled scaling tools to add extra capacity during these times or scale down your staging environments after hours.
Performance Management with Skylight.io
Rails applications are complex things. Skylight provides in depth reporting on exactly where your application is spending time wrapped up in a beautifully easy to use interface with weekly reports. Every OpsCare package includes Skylight.io as part of the monthly subscription fee.

Built on AWS
reinteractive's OpsCare® is built on top of the world's leading cloud provider, AWS. We don't lock you into a proprietary hosting environment — we build a robust, scalable environment utilizing the wide range of tools available in the AWS stack. Should you cancel your OpsCare service, we return your whole stack on your AWS account, simple.
Your application can be hosted in one or more of the eleven geographic regions currently available to AWS customers.
If database privacy is an issue, you can host the data in your local region. If your application has heavy load in multiple parts of the world, you can host your app in multiple regions to reduce local latency.
The OpsCare stack provides your developers with a command line deployment tool for both staging and production environments. We prebake all deployments so that production servers are not touched until the new environment is ready and rollbacks are simple.
Change Your Environment With Impunity
Need to deploy a new type of background worker? Need to provision AWS Lambda? Have DNS changes to make? Want to add more servers? No problem. Your monthly fee includes all changes you need done on your infrastructure, for no additional charge.
Security Patches Handled
The latest Spectre security issue just came out? As an OpsCare customer this is a side story for you as these critical security patches are applied to your infrastructure automatically by our team. Spectre and Meltdown patches were implemented across all our clients within 24 hours of release, we'll look after your stack.
12-Factor, Because it's Right
We created OpsCare to follow the 12 Factor rules. We'll help you move your application to this level of dependency and reliability.
A one off charge of $4,950
to setup and migrate your infrastructure.
OpsCare is charged at $0.75 per AWS USD $ spent with a minimum of $995 per month, in addition to the monthly AWS fees.
- 2 Web servers with load balancer

- 4 Web servers with load balancer
- larger capacity redundant database
- caching server
- with database snapshots and offsite backups
Estimated AWS spend $1500 per month
OpsCare cost $0.75 * $1500 = $1,125*
(*more than the minimum $995)

And if your application runs an older version of Rails more than one major version older than current, for example, a Rails 3 server when Rails 5 is the current version, there is an incremental monthly fee for support.
There is a setup fee and we'll need to help you migrate your system over to OpsCare. Your application might also need some of reinteractive's professional development services to get it up to a point where it can run on OpsCare.
Yes! The monthly pricing for stacks hosted on the Heroku® platform is $.45 per Heroku $1 spent. The monthly minimum cost is $495.

Radiopaedia needed a new operations provider for their world-class site.
Radiopaedia signed up for reinteractive’s OpsCare® service for the peace of mind in knowing that their site was always up and functional. This 24/7 ongoing hosting and maintenance package ensures applications are fully supported, monitored and maintained on the server side. The client still maintains full access to the code base.
I've been really impressed with the OpsCare service reinteractive has offered to date, particularly in regard to the recent cutover from our previous supplier.Assoc. Prof. Frank Gaillard, Founder and CEO, Radiopaedia
