Norths Collective needed to roadmap a mobile web application, to digitise their membership services enabling members to access services from any device.

Norths Collective is a group of dynamic hospitality venues including Norths Cammeray, The Greens North Sydney, The Alcott Lane Cove, Seagulls Tweed Heads & the newest addition The Beecroft Club, to be re-opened late spring as The Verandah Beecroft.

These venues provide sophisticated and innovative entertainment and recreation facilities that underpin Norths Collectives motto ‘Connecting our Community’. Included in Norths Collective are two state-of-the-art fitness centres - Norths Fitness in Cammeray and Revolution Health and Fitness in Tweed Heads.

With a growing community of members and increasing services provided, Norths Collective requires a bespoke mobile web application that fully integrates with their Salesforce instance, enabling members to access services from any mobile device. Getting the planning just right is essential before investing in development and so the reinteractive User Experience (UX) & Design Workshop made sense as a first step.

"We have a strong need to implement an app to digitise our membership services. But getting the planning just right is essential before you invest in actual development. There are a lot of apps in the marketplace that people download and never use, and we want our members to really benefit by accessing our services on any mobile device. We didn’t want to build something that wasn’t liked and wasn’t going to be used.

“The 'reinteractive User Experience (UX) & Design Workshop’ really made sense to us. Doing a deep dive into the app was an integral next step for us to understand the technical capabilities and limitations on what we could and couldn’t do within an app. There was a huge benefit from sorting out the unknowns.”

Key Outcomes and Benefits:

  • Mapout of application’s technical capabilities
  • UX research and discovery
  • UX wireframing, user testing and a fully clickable UX prototype
  • High fidelity visual designs
  • Understanding of priorities, revision of must-have features and functionality.
  • Documentation of the exact roadmap & requirements for a complete bespoke development, on Heroku with full Salesforce integration.

“For years we have looked at building an app and we have dropped it because we all download apps and we barely touch them in the end. The key for us is really building an app that is almost an extension of our member’s membership and for it to become like oxygen – they need to and want to use it. “

"Great communication was definitely the number one highlight of working with the reinteractive team. We had daily stand ups during the project duration which I blocked off and dedicated the time to.

“Number two was the expertise capability I experienced. Everyone I have dealt with from Sales through to the phenomenal UX Designer showed that the capability is very strong within reinteractive. A huge part of this is the methodology used. It is very structured, and strong, so you know exactly what is being done and it is easy to monitor the project’s progress.

“In the end it has been such a smooth process. Much smoother than I ever thought it was going to be.”
