reinteractive has been at the forefront of Ruby on Rails development in Australia since 2010. Starting in Sydney, Mikel Lindsaar (although originally from Melbourne!) needed to write a CRM for a client. In doing this, he found that Ruby was not only the fastest but also one of the best-supported languages at the time. As a one-man show at the time, he found that he could get something started up fast by himself.

From here Mikel started reinteractive (as well as a couple of other start-ups), and regularly contributed to the Rails commit team, most notably by writing the Mail gem that is part of every Rails experience. As the first Australian member of the Rails commit team, Mikel is now a Rails alumnus.

reinteractive went on to start to deliver Rails consulting to large and small Australian organisations, including: Qantas, PWC, universities, financial institutions and many more.

Our growth has seen a substantial increase in the number of employees, both in Australia and overseas, as we also increase our services to not just Australia but overseas; NZ, the United States, Canada, Europe and the UK..

Along with our expertise in Rails, we are also able to offer ongoing maintenance for Heroku and AWS customers using Rails.

After more than a decade and a half of Rails delivery, we are still one of the longest-running Rails-specific consultancies in the world, something we are extremely proud of.
