businest automates and simplifies cash flow forecasting to free up your time and help your business grow profitably. It provides strategies, with step-by-step instructions, to boost your company’s bottom line and cash position.
businest takes financial information from MYOB, QuickBooks or Xero, crunches key performance indicators, predicts your future cash flow and determines which 2-3 strategies will have the biggest impact on your results.
Rhondalynn Korolak, Managing Director of businest, engaged a local agency to begin development in Ruby on Rails. She knew Ruby on Rails offered scalability, robustness and integrated with many accounting packages such as MYOB, QuickBooks and Xero – 95% of the Australian market.
Due to increased resource capacity requirements, Rhondalynn needed Ruby on Rails (and integration) experts to take over the project and drive it home.
“reinteractive is the biggest Ruby on Rails development house in the country and has a fantastic reputation in the market, so we were confident that the right number of resources could be assigned to the project. In addition, we were very impressed with the level of dedication and care on the project, with development hitting the ground running — even over the Xmas break of 2015.”Rhondalynn Korolak

reinteractive took on the project with enthusiasm, rapidly coming up to speed with the project and requirements. Instead of telling Rhondalynn how her app should be, reinteractive found out what she wanted in the app, and then implemented that vision, bringing her plans to life!
The algorithms designed to predict cash flow and financial statements in the future, are based on complicated maths and seasonal adjustments. This means the app can look at past income and predict future financials, with a high degree of accuracy. This was one of the main challenges – taking these highly complex accounting concepts and formulas and turning them into an application that even a layperson (non-accountant) can understand and use.
Cash flow – and the prediction of – is one of the most difficult tasks in the accounting world. It involves complicated formulas and manipulation of intricate financial data.
Together with the reinteractive's management and the development team, each step was broken down and carefully inspected to make sure that nothing was missed.
Clean code, attention to detail, calculation checks and rechecks, and a focus on test code was of utmost importance. Ease of integration with other applications was another focus point. Thanks to the quality of the code and expertise of the developers, this was successfully achieved.
“reinteractive’s strength is the complete command of Ruby on Rails, attention to detail, speed and efficiency. I know if anything happens, you guys will take care of it. My business is an extension of me and the reputation is very important. The fact I have complete confidence, peace of mind and can sleep at night … it’s huge for me!”Rhondalynn Korolak

With the complex functionality implemented, reinteractive’s User Experience (UX) expert was brought in to improve the usability of the app.
The reinteractive design team then came on board to streamline the look of the application to create a clean, modern website. Customer feedback on the overall look and feel has been fantastic!
