Our comprehensive User Experience Review Service identifies key usability issues with your site, evaluating the user experience of your website or application against best-practices in the industry. The better the User Experience, the better your ROI.
What is a User Experience Review?
A User Experience Review evaluates an existing system against best-practices, which are called “heuristics”. It is performed by an expert in user experience design or Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and results in a report with key findings and action items that you can use to improve your product. It is called an “inspection method” because it is based on principles derived from watching users interact with online systems.
Your UX Review is Performed by a User Experience Expert
The User Experience Review is conducted by reinteractive’s experienced User Experience Designer, who has more than 10 years experience in this area. She holds a UX Master’s Certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group, world-leaders in the UX field and the creators of the first and most used usability heuristics list in the industry.
Let’s say you have any sort of existing system that is being used by people and you don’t necessarily want to replace it. Or you might have a system that is performing okay; not quite as well that you thought it would, but good enough that you wouldn’t want to allocate resources towards a more in-depth research method.
Or, another scenario is when you have a system that isn’t performing well, you’ve already decided that you will replace it. The new one is in the works, however, it will take 6+ months to launch.
A UX review of the old system is very valuable in this case, because it can identify quick wins and improvements that can be made with minimal effort. These improvements could help you retain more customers until the brand new version can be launched.
What do I get?
The end result is a page-by-page review of the application that can be used to identify and correct some issues. Keep in mind though - while we are very good at what we do and draw on more than a decade of experience in the field - we are not your users or your target market.
The User Experience Review report is only a guideline, meant to identify issues that can be fixed with minimal effort to immediately improve the user experience of an existing application or website design.
The UX Review can also be a precursor to a full User Experience and Interaction Design service, which involves a full redesign of your application.
Ultimately, what's the benefit for the company?
As mentioned, the guidelines (heuristics) are based on research. Having a product that is compliant with heuristics doesn't necessarily mean that it has the best possible user experience it can have, but it will definitely get you closer. The reason these guidelines exist and they are so popular is because they address the core common issues people have with using online systems. Having these issues addressed leads to happier users who are more likely to stay loyal to the brand and online product.

Altura decided to engage reinteractive’s user experience expert
Altura’s strength was in their content and so they decided to build a portal allowing larger international providers to access the training materials without worrying about which LMS they used.
Creating the rapid prototype resulted in a solid blueprint and base from which we could forecast more accurate project costings, which is essential when requesting approvals and expenditure from a board.Grant Ricker, Technology Director, Altura Learning
